Welcome to Kent Wildlife Trust

.

Kent Wildlife Trust is one of 47 wildlife charities across the UK and the largest charity for nature conservation in Kent. We look after 59 nature reserves and 5 visitor centres, home to some of the rarest species in Kent and the UK. By involving children and adults in learning, we can preserve and protect wildlife for future generations to enjoy.

Our Vision-

Our Vision – to protect wildlife for the future.

Programmes and Activities-

Volunteering - Visitor Centres, Reserves Management, Wildlife Awareness and Education, Conservation and Policy, Marketing and Fundraising.

What you can gain
 Useful skills and experience
 Increased knowledge of wildlife conservation
 New friends with similar interests
 Good exercise (at least for some tasks!)
 Satisfaction in helping Kent’s wildlife

Education - We can cater for a wide range of students from pre-school to G.C.S.E. and beyond, including special needs groups.

Wildlife Study Days - Wildlife Study Days are mostly held outside ‘in the field’, often on nature reserves. Increase your knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of Kent’s wild plants and animals - and learn how to manage habitats to encourage them.

Further wildlife events include walks, talks and events which can be viewed via our website www.kentwildlifetrust.org.uk

Ongoing conservation work and land management advice to land owners.
